After getting accepted to Brooklyn Heights University, Leah Masters convinces her cult leader parents, Rainey and Connor, to allow her to leave "The Mountain" so that she can recruit new members. Hooked follows filmmaker Glen Fulthorpe's raw exploration of his father's heroin addiction. Intercutting haunting archival footage with present-day encounters, Glen revisits a pivotal moment from 2006 when he filmed two young addicts, arranged by his father Steve. When Steve overdoses during filming, it sets off a chain of events that Glen grapples with for years. The documentary tracks Glen's journey as he reconnects with both addicts—one now in recovery, the other still struggling—while seeking answers about his father's addiction and death. Confronting his own battles with anger, forgiveness, and fatherhood, Glen offers an introspective look at addiction's far-reaching impact, generational trauma, and the path to healing.

This series is above the expectations they had about it. It is very fast (beyond the tempo of each episode) conflicts are able to develop and resolve in each episode. Which for one as a spectator is very good since the rhythm is never lost. 　　On the other hand, humor management is constant and gives it its point of grace so that conflicts, which are very deep, can occur with a lightness that catches. 　　The chemistry that Paula Usero and Carol Rovira keep in the series is the same as they have in "Love Is Forever" so in just 10 minutes they catch you in a way that when you already see them together you already know that everything will work out , they are the basis of this series and the writers notice that they know it since the series is by and for them.
